A robot and a dog, with matching colors and equally good folding tricks. Areaware’s Cubebot Best Friends Set includes one Micro Cubebot and one Micro Milo dog, both made from beech wood with water-based paint. Inspired by Japanese Shinto Kumi-ki puzzles, Cubebot combines traditional wooden puzzle ideas with a poseable toy robot. Its hardwood limbs and elastic-band joints let it hold a variety of poses before folding back into a cube when play is done. Milo folds into a cube, too, making this multicolored pair part puzzle, part companions for stories and small adventures. Set them side by side, find a new pose, or see who can tuck their best friend away first.
